Cultural Competency Resource Site


Our resource site is designed to provide “at-your-fingertips” cross-cultural information, including background on patients from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and of different religions, as well as practical tips on how to manage difficult cross-cultural clinical scenarios such as birthing, intensive care, chronic disease management, end-of-life care, and caring for those with limited-English proficiency.

Purpose:

  • To allow organizations who subscribe to Quality Interactions to have access to helpful information on cross-cultural healthcare.

  • To give clinicians quick reference tools that help them better navigate difficult cross-cultural interactions.

  • To ensure that healthcare organizations have access to credible information that will help them communicate clearly and avoid biases and stereotypes.

  • To provide health care professionals with tools and tips on how to work effectively with interpreters.
